Our products carry the current that keeps AI and cloud infrastructure running. The role We're looking for an engineer to design and develop high-power distribution products: pre-terminated power whip assemblies and rack power shelves. You'll own products from concept through production — electrical and mechanical design, validation, certification, and launch — working directly with hyperscale customers and our manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

Design power whip assemblies: cable and conductor sizing, connector selection (IEC 60309 pin-and-sleeve, NEMA, and proprietary high-current connectors), overcurrent protection, liquid-tight and conduit configurations, custom lengths and configurations to customer spec Design power shelf systems: rectifier shelf architecture, backplane and busbar design, 48V DC distribution, hot-swap modules, shelf controllers and telemetry (PMBus / Redfish), OR-ing and current sharing Perform the engineering behind the designs: ampacity and derating calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit and fault-current analysis, thermal analysis of conductors, contacts, and busbars Create and release engineering documentation: 3D models and drawings (SolidWorks), BOMs, schematics, and ECOs through the PLM system Drive design validation: prototype builds, electrical and thermal testing, hipot/insulation testing, temperature-rise testing at full rated current Lead safety certification to UL/IEC 62368-1 and applicable power-distribution standards (e.g., UL 2416, UL 1283), and design to NEC/NFPA 70 requirements and Open Compute Project (OCP ORv3) specifications Support NPI: DFM/DFA reviews with manufacturing, tooling and test-fixture input, first-article builds, and production issue resolution Serve as the technical interface for customers — hyperscalers and OEM/ODMs — on specifications, design reviews, and field issues

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline 5+ years of experience designing power distribution products for data centers or similar high-power applications — power whips/cable assemblies, power shelves, PDUs, busway, or switchgear Working knowledge of high-current design: conductor and busbar sizing, contact resistance, thermal rise, derating, and fault protection at 208V–480V AC and 48V DC Familiarity with data-center power architectures: rack-level distribution, OCP Open Rack (ORv2/ORv3), 48V busbar systems, and hyperscaler specifications Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and engineering documentation/PLM systems Experience taking products through UL/ETL safety certification Strong communication skills — this role works directly with customers and cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, and quality Preferred Experience with OCP power shelf design (rectifiers, shelf controllers, BBU/dischargers) Thermal or electrical simulation experience (FEA/CFD, e.g., Ansys, FloTHERM) Knowledge of connector systems from Amphenol, TE Connectivity, Molex, Anderson Power, or similar high-current interconnect suppliers Experience with high-volume manufacturing in a cable-assembly or sheet-metal/busbar environment PE license or advanced degree a plus What we offer The chance to design products going into the largest AI and cloud data centers being built today A hands-on engineering role with real product ownership, from first sketch to production Competitive compensation and benefits About BizLink Technology: At BizLink Technology, we are dedicated to delivering high‑quality technology solutions that empower businesses and enhance everyday experiences.
