About the position The Project Manager – Structural Engineer will manage projects from initial stage to the completion of the project.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce structural designs, project management, overseeing the production of structural documents, quality control, shop drawing review and field investigations
• Preparing cost estimates, specifications and contract documents
• Participate in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, business development, and preparation of proposals.
• Project Management responsibilities (customer satisfaction, deliverables, quality, schedule and budget) for assigned projects.
• Prepare bid/proposal packages
• Perform site inspection and condition assessments of existing structures.
• Provide site supervision and technical support for construction projects on an as required basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering
• 2-5 years of structural engineering experience
• Access to a reliable vehicle with a valid Driver’s License for travel to client sites
• Working knowledge of Ontario building codes and standards
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work with design team and work on multiple projects at the same time

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer license an asset
• Experience in either designing steel, concrete, wood or masonry structures for buildings preferred
• Excellent communication skills, ideally in both English and French preferred
