Job Title: Property Management Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Management Accountant to support financial operations for U.S.-based property management clients. The ideal candidate has a strong background in property accounting, including rent ledgers, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires solid experience with AppFolio and QuickBooks, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage accounting tasks independently in a remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage rent ledgers, tenant payments, and account reconciliations.

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.

• Prepare monthly financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and P&L reports.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow tracking.

• Maintain compliance with U.S. property management accounting standards and procedures.

• Review financial variances and resolve discrepancies.

• Coordinate with property managers to support monthly and year-end closing tasks.

• Maintain digital financial files and ensure documentation accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in property management accounting.

• Strong proficiency in AppFolio and QuickBooks.

• Strong knowledge of rent ledgers, reconciliations, AP/AR, and property financial reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment.

• CPA or U.S. Accounting Certification (preferred but not required).

Additional Requirements

• Must be currently residing in the Philippines or Latin America.

• Must have a stable internet connection and a remote-ready workstation.
