[Remote] AI Data Engineer 1
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Artech is recruiting for a confidential client seeking an AI Data Engineer to modernize roadmap and portfolio data management and reporting. The role uses AI and automation to streamline workflows across SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Excel, and databases, and replaces manual reporting with Power BI dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Assess current workflows, baseline manual effort, and prioritize automation opportunities by impact
- Integrate data from SharePoint, ADO, Excel, and cross-organization databases into a governed single source of truth, with automated refresh and data-quality checks
- Build and maintain the Power BI dashboards and AI use cases for change summaries, data reconciliation, natural-language Q&A, and report automation
- Document solutions, train users, and report impact (hours saved, cycle-time reduction, data quality)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 4 years in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics automation
- 2 years building production generative-AI solutions (e.g., Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, AI Builder, Client 365 Copilot)
- Expertise in Power BI: data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), refresh, deployment, and row-level security
- Experience with hardware, supply-chain, or product roadmap and portfolio data
- Knowledge of Client Fabric, Dataverse, or KQL; Power Platform ALM and Git
- Client certifications in Power BI, Fabric, Power Platform, or Azure AI
- Experience with Azure DevOps queries, Analytics/OData, and REST APIs; Power Automate; SharePoint Online; advanced Excel; SQL; and Python
- Clear communication skills to translate business needs into technical solutions and executive-ready visuals
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
- Experience with hardware, supply-chain, or product roadmap and portfolio data
- Knowledge of Client Fabric, Dataverse, or KQL; Power Platform ALM and Git
- Client certifications in Power BI, Fabric, Power Platform, or Azure AI
