Pan Atlantic Foundation seeks an International Area Representative to recruit and support host families for its high school exchange program. The role guides families through applications and orientations, builds local school and community relationships, and checks in with students and host families throughout the exchange.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit prospective host families within the assigned area to support international student exchange programs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools to raise awareness of student exchange opportunities
• Promote public awareness of exchange programs through community outreach and engagement activities
• Guide prospective host families through the online application process on the organization's website
• Conduct in-home interviews with potential host families and verify references to ensure suitability
• Facilitate host family orientations prior to student arrival to set expectations and provide program guidance
• Perform monthly check-ins with host families and students via phone calls or in-person visits
• Document all interactions, check-ins, and progress reports accurately in the online system

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build trust and rapport with families, schools, and students from diverse backgrounds
• Comfortable conducting in-home visits and interviews
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic computer literacy for completing online documentation and applications
• Proficiency with online application systems and digital documentation tools
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications
• Comfort using smartphones or tablets for check-ins and reporting
• Prior experience working in education, community outreach, or customer service is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with international education or cultural exchange programs
• Experience working with schools or educational institutions
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities helpful but not necessary
• Familiarity with Zoom or Microsoft teams or Google meet tools for remote coordination helpful
