They are seeking a motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to support the United States Navy in deploying AWS cloud services in a modern, automated manner.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot compute assets in AWS
• Compose new Terraform code and/or edit existing code for the deployment of AWS resources
• Take an automation-first approach to the administration and configuration management of resources deployed in AWS GovCloud
• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Windows Server instances and their AMI lifecycle
• Participate in Agile ceremonies as a member of a highly functioning Agile engineering team
• Create, maintain, and update relevant system documentation as required

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related STEM discipline and 4+ years of general IT experience, or an Associates degree and 6 years of general IT experience, or a High School Diploma and 8+ years of general IT experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience completing tasks relevant to cloud engineering
• Must possess a DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification (ex. Sec+)
• Experience in RHEL OS and/or Windows Server with knowledge in maintaining them
• Experience automating cloud deployments/administration with tools like Terraform and/or Ansible
• Must possess one associate level AWS certification (ex. AWS CSAA) or higher
• US Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance
• Experience in customer-facing roles
• 1+ years of production Terraform experience
• Experience working with GitHub or similar system and Git
