[Remote] AWS Cloud-Native Engineering Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EPAM Systems is seeking an AWS Cloud-Native Engineering Manager to bring hands-on technical expertise to an existing engineering team. The role focuses on designing scalable AWS solutions, developing and optimizing DynamoDB-backed systems, contributing to architecture decisions, supporting delivery, and mentoring less-experienced engineers in an international distributed team.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable AWS cloud-native solutions
- Work extensively with DynamoDB to build and optimize backend systems
- Solve complex technical problems and contribute to architecture decisions
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to support delivery goals
- Support and mentor less-experienced engineers
- Take ownership of technical areas to help accelerate project delivery
- Maintain strong two-way communication with an international, distributed team
Skills
- 3+ years of senior-level engineering experience
- Strong hands-on background in AWS and cloud-native architecture
- Strong expertise in DynamoDB
- Backend development experience
- Strong English proficiency (B2+) and excellent communication skills
- Capability to work collaboratively and support less-experienced engineers
- Strong experience in Python
- Familiarity with serverless and distributed systems
- Mentoring or technical leadership experience
