Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cognizant is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering team. The role designs, builds, and optimizes scalable AWS-based data solutions, including ETL pipelines, serverless applications, analytics solutions, data warehouses, and database migration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL and data integration pipelines using AWS Glue
• Build and support serverless applications and data processing workflows using AWS Lambda
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and analytics solutions leveraging Amazon Athena
• Configure, manage, and enhance Amazon Redshift environments to support enterprise data warehousing needs
• Perform database migrations and replication activities using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), while ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence across AWS environments

Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and AWS DMS
• Proven experience developing data engineering and cloud-based data integration solutions
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling concepts
• Understanding of cloud architecture best practices, security frameworks, and performance optimization
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or other related AWS certifications
• Experience building dashboards, analytics, or business intelligence solutions using Q Developer or similar technologies
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Familiarity with large-scale enterprise data platforms and cloud modernization initiatives
