Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The company is building financial infrastructure for the construction industry by modernizing fragmented, legacy software systems. The Full-Stack / Backend Engineer will unify construction systems through APIs and data models, build integrations and customer-facing products, and improve the platform’s scalability, performance, reliability, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Unify dozens of fragmented construction systems behind one clean API and data model
• Build integrations with legacy and on-prem systems that may have limited APIs or documentation
• Scale a platform handling millions of API requests per day
• Improve performance, caching, reliability, testing, and observability
• Build customer-facing products that run on top of the company’s own APIs
• Ship production code quickly and work directly with customers and founders

Skills

• Roughly 1–10 years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend or full-stack engineering ability
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS
• Strong systems thinking and comfort with ambiguity
• High ownership, low ego, and a bias toward shipping
• Bay Area: In-office in San Francisco 5 days/week
• Exceptional new grads with strong internships, co-ops, or projects may be considered
• Outside Bay Area: Remote available for exceptional candidates
• Relocation and visa sponsorship available
