The role focuses on APIs, sync and storage systems, reliability, scalability, developer tools, and MCP integration.
Responsibilities
- Design and build APIs, sync and storage systems
- Own reliability, performance and scalability
- Build the developer platform and MCP integration
- Collaborate across product teams
- Improve observability and tooling
Skills
- 5+ years building backend / distributed systems
- Strong in a systems language (Go, Rust or similar)
- Pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset
- Comfortable in a remote, async team
- Experience with sync, CRDTs or real-time a plus
