AssetBuilt is a global business advisory firm specializing in industrial machinery auctions, asset management, and surplus equipment liquidation across multiple industries. The Business Development Associate will identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, market research, pipeline management, client relationship building, and support for proposals and deals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify prospective clients across targeted verticals
• Use data tools, CRM systems, and online research to build targeted outreach lists
• Initiate first contact via email, phone, and LinkedIn to introduce company services and evaluate opportunities
• Maintain an active pipeline of leads and opportunities using the company CRM
• Schedule intro calls, discovery meetings, and follow-ups with potential clients
• Conduct competitive analysis and market mapping to identify new growth areas
• Research distressed assets, upcoming auctions, facility closures, and potential liquidation opportunities
• Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposals, and capability statements
• Coordinate with internal departments (operations, marketing, executive team) to align on strategy and client needs
• Represent the company professionally through outreach, virtual meetings, and industry events (as needed)

Skills

• B2B Sales experience min 3 years
• Bachelors degree
• Strong research, data mining, and analytical abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to build rapport quickly and professionally
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM systems
• Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
• ZoomInfo or related prospecting tools
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience using ZoomInfo or similar data-mining tools
• CRM proficiency (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or equivalent)
• Experience in industrial, auctions, liquidation, or asset management sectors (plus but not required)
• Real Estate knowledge
• LinkedIn Sales Navigator (preferred)
