Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gallagher Animal Management’s eShepherd is expanding its virtual-fencing business in the United States. The Business Development Manager will build and convert a regional sales pipeline, develop customer and industry relationships, and contribute market insights to support eShepherd’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and strategically targeting new business opportunities
• Taking ownership of the sales journey from prospecting through to proposal, negotiation and close
• Building trusted relationships with ranchers, producers, partners, distributors and industry stakeholders
• Understanding how individual ranching operations work and positioning eShepherd around their commercial and operational needs
• Developing opportunities through networking, prospecting, industry engagement and strong follow-up
• Leading or supporting key account opportunities, tenders, contracts and distribution agreements
• Maintaining strong CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate sales forecasting
• Working closely with Customer Success to support a seamless transition from sale to onboarding and ongoing customer success
• Bringing market intelligence, customer feedback, pricing insights and competitor activity back into Sales, Product and Marketing
• Helping build the eShepherd and Gallagher brands through industry relationships, partnerships and speaking opportunities

Skills

• Proven business development or key account experience within a solution-selling environment
• A demonstrated ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales
• Experience working with ranchers and/or personal experience within agriculture
• Knowledge of AgTech solutions
• An interest in or understanding of beef cattle and grazing management
• Strong commercial judgement, communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to work autonomously and maintain momentum across multiple opportunities
• Experience within a high-growth or scale-up environment
• The ability to think strategically and then turn that thinking into action
