Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UnitedHealthcare is hiring a Clinical Administrative Coordinator for its clinical support team. The role manages administrative intake, referrals and prior authorizations, supports clinical case reviews, and handles inquiries from members and providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative intake of people with UHC insurance and complete required documentation in our medical management systems
• Maintain compliance with turnaround times based on the member's product, the type of request and the specific regulatory agency
• Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
• Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
• Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents'/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
• Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
• Complete special projects and call DSNP or Medicaid members
• Participate from time to time in call campaigns
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• This is a fast-paced working environment that requires the ability to multitask with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• High School Diploma/GED
• 2+ years of healthcare industry experience
• 6+ months of customer service experience
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word (create, edit, save documents), Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
• Experience working with health care insurance
• Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
• A clerical or administrative support background
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
• Experience working in a call center
• Bilingual English/Spanish
