Gormat is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer 3 to provide technical expertise in planning, integrating, evaluating, and improving cloud-based platforms and distributed virtual environments. The role focuses on developing technical solutions, managing distributed virtual machine health, analyzing system performance and risks, and identifying process and framework improvements.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for different cloud-based platforms
• Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
• Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
• Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
• Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience
• IAT-2 certification required
• One or more cloud certifications required
• Active Secret clearance required
