They are seeking a Mid Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and support FEMA's data analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize complex data ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Lead data modeling, partitioning, and performance tuning
• Ensure FISMA/FedRAMP-compliant security and data governance
• Support analytics, AI/ML teams, and cross-program data initiatives
• Oversee automation, code reviews, and DevSecOps integration

Skills

• At least 3+ years of relevant working experience in a similar role
• Deep experience with distributed computing (Spark, EMR, Databricks)
• Advanced SQL, Python, and cloud data tooling
• Familiarity with DHS data governance and security standards
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• AWS/Azure/GCP Data certifications
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain Public Trust
• Active Public Trust is preferred
• FEMA Public Trust is highly preferred
