Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail‑oriented Remote Data Entry Operator to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced, self‑directed environment and are committed to delivering flawless data with zero error rates.

Key highlights of the role:

  • Part‑time (20+ hours per week) with the potential to transition to full‑time (30+ hours per week).
  • Remote work – no commuting, no office constraints.
  • Independent contractor status – you’ll be your own boss, responsible for your equipment and workspace.
  • Competitive piece‑rate pay, with the opportunity to increase your hourly rate as your production speed improves.

Core Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter data from a variety of sources—including PDFs, scanned documents, spreadsheets, and online forms—into talentflow’s proprietary database and partner portals.
  • Maintain a zero‑error record by double‑checking entries, verifying data against source documents, and correcting discrepancies immediately.
  • Adhere to strict project timelines, ensuring all data is entered within the specified turnaround windows.
  • Utilize keyboard shortcuts and advanced typing techniques to achieve a minimum keystroke rate of 15,000 per hour (approximately 50 words per minute).
  • Collaborate with project managers and team leads to clarify ambiguous data points and resolve any issues that arise during the entry process.
  • Follow all data security protocols, including secure backups, encryption practices, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and skill‑updating workshops to stay current with talentflow’s evolving systems and tools.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in data management or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of professional data entry experience, with a proven track record of high accuracy and speed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable navigating Windows or macOS environments.
  • Strong typing skills: 50 words per minute or higher, with a focus on precision.
  • Reliable high‑speed broadband internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download).
  • Valid U.S. work authorization and the ability to pass a standard criminal background check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years and the capacity to commit to at least 20 hours of work per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data verification, data cleansing, or data migration projects.
  • Familiarity with data entry platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, or custom CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for handling sensitive information.
  • Previous experience working as an independent contractor or freelancer.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to spot patterns or inconsistencies in large datasets.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and inconsistencies quickly and correct them before they propagate.
  • Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with project managers and team members.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable learning new systems, tools, and processes on the fly.
  • Self‑Motivation: Strong drive to work independently and maintain high productivity levels.
  • Confidentiality: Commitment to safeguarding sensitive data and adhering to privacy policies.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

At talentflow, we view every role as a stepping stone toward greater responsibility and expertise. As a Data Entry Operator, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Progress to a Senior Data Entry Specialist or Data Quality Analyst role, overseeing larger projects and mentoring junior staff.

  • Participate in cross‑functional teams, gaining exposure to data analytics, business intelligence, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Earn certifications in data management, project management, or industry‑specific software through our partnership with leading training providers.

Although you’ll be working remotely, talentflow fosters a strong sense of community and collaboration. We maintain:

  • Regular virtual team meetings and check‑ins to keep everyone aligned and engaged.
  • Open channels for feedback and idea sharing via Slack, Teams, and our internal knowledge base.
