You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including analytics, compliance, and client service—to ensure that every data point is accurate, up‑to‑date, and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer and input data from diverse sources (PDFs, spreadsheets, emails, and legacy systems) into our secure cloud database.
  • Validate data accuracy by cross‑checking against source documents and flagging discrepancies for resolution.
  • Update records in real time, ensuring that new information is reflected across all relevant systems.
  • Correct and modify inaccurate or incomplete files, maintaining a meticulous audit trail of changes.
  • Perform regular data backups and security checks to safeguard against loss or corruption.
  • Organize physical and digital paper backups, ensuring that hard‑copy archives are properly labeled and stored.
  • Collaborate with the IT and Data Governance teams to implement data quality standards and best practices.
  • Generate routine reports on data integrity metrics and submit them to stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting workflow enhancements that increase efficiency.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including confidentiality agreements and data protection regulations.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience using cloud‑based databases (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or custom SQL platforms).
  • Strong typing speed (≥ 60 words per minute) with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to data quality and integrity.
  • Basic understanding of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and data security best practices.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data cleansing tools (e.g., Trifacta, OpenRefine) or data integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Integromat).
  • Knowledge of SQL or other database query languages.
  • Familiarity with project management software (Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
  • Previous exposure to the healthcare or financial services industry.
  • Certification in Data Management or a related field.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking – Ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication – Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with remote teams.
  • Time Management – Efficiently allocate time to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Adaptability – Thrive in a fast‑changing environment and quickly learn new tools.
  • Problem‑Solving – Proactively address data anomalies and propose solutions.
  • Team Collaboration – Work effectively with cross‑functional teams, even when physically dispersed.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

At brighthush, we believe that your career should evolve alongside your personal growth. As a Data Entry Specialist, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Progress to a Data Quality Analyst or Data Governance Coordinator role.
  • Lead data migration projects for new clients.
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices.
  • Participate in cross‑departmental initiatives, such as building automated data pipelines.
