Athomtech, Inc is hiring a Data Governance Engineer to implement and maintain Informatica Data Governance solutions and establish governance standards with data stewards, analysts, and business teams. The role develops and integrates data pipelines, monitors data quality and reliability, resolves data issues, and provides technical guidance on report development.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining Informatica Data Governance solutions including metadata management, data quality rules, lineage, and stewardship workflows while partnering with data stewards, analysts, and business teams to define and enforce governance standards
• Develops automated data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes and integrates Snowflake with Informatica and other Cloud platforms
• Monitors data quality, performance, and reliability across pipelines, contributes to architectural decisions and best‑practice documentation, and resolves data issues to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security
• Provides technical guidance and recommendations related to report development
• Define data transformation rules, metadata, and data lineage documentation
• Ensure reporting and extract requirements align with enterprise data governance standards
• Troubleshoot defects and work with technical teams to resolve issues

Skills

• Strong experience with Informatica Data Governance tools (e.g., Axon, EDC, IDQ)
• Expert of data cataloging and enterprise data governance frameworks
• Background in building scalable and distributed data systems
• Expert of data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage
• Experience with API integrations and workflow automation
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (SQL, Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, ELT)
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and modern DevOps practices
• 5+ Required Strong experience with Informatica Data Governance tools (e.g., Axon, EDC, IDQ)
• 2+ Required Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS)
• 5+ Required Experience with API integrations and workflow automation
• 5+ Required Skill with Microsoft Office tools, particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
• 3+ Required Understanding of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar)
• 3+ Required Expert of data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage
• 5+ Required Knowledge of enterprise information management processes and methodologies, relational database management systems, and metadata management
• 2+ Required Experience in working in fast-paced and ever-changing environments; achieving project's deliverables and deadlines; exercising sound judgment in making critical decisions; analyzing complex information and developing plans to address identified issues
• 2 Required Skill in interpersonal relationships, including the ability to work with people under pressure, negotiate among multiple parties, resolve conflicts, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of personnel
• 2+ Preferred Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations (PII) relevant to data management and data governance
• 2+ Preferred Experience in data focused projects, like moving from Legacy to newer systems
• - Preferred Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data processing, computer science, business administration, or a related field
