Skills

• 6+ years of production experience building, operating, and troubleshooting event-driven data systems
• Deep expertise in Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, and log-based CDC tools like Debezium for reliable data ingestion
• Production-level Java skills for stateful stream processing using Apache Flink, including event-time semantics and checkpointing
• Proficiency in AWS-native data services (MSK, Glue, S3) and Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform
• Expert-level SQL and Python, with hands-on experience managing open table formats like Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
• Strong background in schema governance, data contracts, and securing HIPAA-regulated Protected Health Information (PHI)
