The role focuses on reliable data ingestion, stateful stream processing, AWS data services, and secure handling of HIPAA-regulated health information.

Skills

• 6+ years of production experience building, operating, and troubleshooting event-driven data systems
• Deep expertise in Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, and log-based CDC tools such as Debezium for reliable data ingestion
• Production-level Java skills for stateful stream processing using Apache Flink, including event-time semantics and checkpointing
• Proficiency in AWS-native data services including MSK, Glue, and S3
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform
• Expert-level SQL and Python skills
• Hands-on experience managing open table formats such as Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
• Strong background in schema governance and data contracts
• Experience securing HIPAA-regulated Protected Health Information (PHI)
