Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EPM Scientific is recruiting for an unnamed client. The Director will lead clinical science for clinical-stage CVRM programs, supporting study execution, medical monitoring, site engagement, and clinical trial design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical science lead and core member of clinical development team for clinical stage CVRM programs
• Support day-to-day study execution, ensuring alignment with protocol, timelines, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in medical monitoring activities: review and interpret clinical data on an ongoing basis in collaboration with cross-functional colleagues and external partners to ensure data quality, participant safety, and protocol compliance. Escalate issues as appropriate
• Participate in site selection, initiation, and ongoing engagement; provide scientific support to investigators and address protocol-related inquiries
• Design and develop clinical trial protocols and associated documents (e.g. clinical study plans, data review plans, case report forms (CRFs), database design, statistical analysis plans) in collaboration with CMO
• Collaborate with clinical & non-clinical teams to ensure alignment

Skills

• MD or PhD; and 5+ years of industry experience in clinical development
• Experience with cardio, metabolic or related disease areas required
• Demonstrated ability to lead clinical science strategy and execution in early-stage trials
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good team player, excellent communication skills, learning agility
• Proven ability to collaborate across geographies (U.S., China, Australia) and functions (R&D, BD, regulatory) in matrixed environments
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills to translate scientific insights into actionable clinical strategies
• Gene therapy experience preferred
