Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. QP Group is hiring a Director of Business Development to open new pharmaceutical and biotechnology accounts across the US, grow key relationships, and manage deals through signed contracts. The role also involves developing territory plans, scoping studies and proposals with scientific colleagues, closing service agreements, representing the company at industry events, and supporting the growth of its commercial function.

Responsibilities

• Build and run a territory plan to win new logos and grow priority accounts
• Prospect proactively into translational, biomarker and drug development teams
• Scope studies with scientific colleagues, and prepare and present tailored proposals
• Negotiate and close service agreements
• Represent the company at conferences and industry events
• Feed market and competitive insight back to leadership, and help shape the commercial function as it grows
• Keep accurate pipeline and account records in the CRM

Skills

• A proven record of selling scientific or CRO services into pharma and biotech, with a track record of winning new logos
• Hands-on mass spectrometry lab experience, ideally in proteomics, metabolomics or bioanalytical LC-MS, before moving into a commercial role
• Established relationships with drug development, translational or biomarker teams
• A consistent record of beating targets, and stability in your previous roles
• Strong presentation, negotiation and communication skills
