The individual will edit book projects for publication, so it remains imperative that all manuscripts receive the utmost attention and care – being returned with zero errors in order to provide the best professionalism to our authors.Selected editor can work from home, with the majority of the communication between publisher and freelance editor done primarily by computer/email/phone calls. Selected individual may work very closely with all departments, including marketing, creative services (art and design), and production.Job DutiesSupport in‑house editors by editing a variety of titles in word counts ranging from 10,000 and up, with a focus on serious nonfiction and commercial fiction. Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation without changing the author’s voice, and maintain consistency throughout the manuscript.Help develop, implement, and maintain search engine optimization (SEO) and social media marketing using all appropriate techniques and resources.Build relationships to generate awareness of the company's creative platform and represent the company in a professional manner.Act as a brand steward, ensuring the company’s reputation is upheld across all channels.Job RequirementsCreative, self‑starter, exceptionally organized and able to multitask.
