Hidden Level is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to accelerate product development within a small, cross-functional engineering team. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and validating embedded software for sensor target detection, health monitoring, fault recovery, and interaction with cloud-based and network systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Software, Systems, Digital and RF engineers to advance overall product capabilities
• Decompose system requirements and support key software architectural decisions
• Participate in collaborative design and code reviews
• Aid in the validation and verification of both design and system-level capabilities
• Detect and track new types of targets
• Monitor performance and health metrics, and autonomously recover from faults
• Interact with cloud-based systems and other network components
• Document and clearly communicate designs to peers
• Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation
• Improve CM/CI capabilities and coverage

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software Engineering, or a bachelor's degree in computer or electrical Engineering with strong programming background
• 3+ years industry experience
• Familiarity with Radar Systems and Signal Processing
• Programming experience with 1. Python 2. C++
• Comfortable working on embedded Linux Operating Systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome technical challenges
• Experience with or the drive to learn. 1. Analysis methods and tools including Python and MATLAB 2. Communications, Radar, and other Sensor Systems
