[Remote] Engineering Manager, Product Engineering
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Boulevard builds a client experience platform for appointment-based self-care businesses. The Engineering Manager leads and develops engineers building scalable platform capabilities, balancing technical leadership and people management while partnering with Product and Design to deliver the team roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 5-8 engineers across a range of experience levels
- Hold regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
- Partner with Product Management and Design to define and deliver the team roadmap
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews and architectural guidance, staying hands-on where it helps your team
- Build a team culture centered on collaboration and growth
- Manage team delivery by removing blockers and making sure work lands well
- Help hire, interview, and onboard new teammates
- Join the on-call rotation and lead incident response when needed
Skills
- 5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of people management
- Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams, with a track record of building inclusive, high-performing teams
- Strong technical background and the ability to provide architectural guidance
- Experience with agile development and delivery management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to your team
- Experience managing remote teams and collaborating asynchronously
- Experience in B2B SaaS or marketing platforms
- A background in payment systems, scheduling, or commerce platforms
- Experience with Elixir, React, or similar technologies
- An MBA or advanced degree in a related field
