Fidelity Investments is hiring a Financial Planning Consultant to support clients with managed portfolios through personalized financial planning and advice. The role guides clients across investment strategies, retirement and income planning, and other financial priorities, with end-to-end ownership of the advice experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead thoughtful, consultative conversations to understand clients’ investment strategies and evolving planning needs
• Strengthen client confidence in Fidelity Advisory Services through consistent, high-quality guidance and disciplined follow-through
• Anticipate future needs and adapt advice as clients’ goals and life stages change
• Introduce and position the right service model and resources to deepen the overall Fidelity relationship
• Deliver personalized, end-to-end planning and advice for FAS-covered clients, including unified investment strategies, retirement savings and income planning, college savings, tax efficiency, long-term care, HSA and Medicare, estate planning, and more

Skills

• FINRA Series 7 required
• FINRA Series 63 and 65 or Series 66 licensed
• Insurance license within 90 days of hire
• Minimum of 5 years of previous financial services experience
• Planning and Advice mindset with a solid understanding of Fidelity's offerings
• Ability to deliver high-quality IQ and EQ client experience through FRM mastery
• Proven practice management skills that drive scalable, high-impact business results
• Strong written, verbal, & interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build trust & deepen client relationships
• Experience running effective, well-structured pre-scheduled guidance appointments
• Engaging in insight-driven, timely proactive outreach
• Demonstrate strong Practice Management and Operational Excellence through effective prioritization, calendar management, and ownership of responsibilities
• Comfort operating within a team-based service model while managing time, workflow, and follow-through
• Fluency using digital advice, planning, and investment tools to deliver personalized recommendations
• Ownership of end-to-end advice experience, from preparation through implementation
• Adaptability and willingness to continuously learn as client needs evolve
• Ability to engage clients virtually (via Zoom) as the default meeting format unless an alternative is requested by the client

• Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
