Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Merciv is seeking a Protocol Engineer to lay the foundations of its decentralized computing platform for AI training. The role focuses on protocol and node development across blockchain systems, crypto-economic mechanisms, decentralized networking, and proof generation and verification.

Responsibilities

• Designing, constructing, and managing all aspects related to protocol and node encompassing blockchain systems, crypto economic mechanisms, decentralized networking, and proof generation and verification
• This role will also include developing and testing blockchain protocols and smart contracts, debugging and deploying large-scale decentralized systems, and overseeing internal and external smart contract audits

Skills

• 2+ years of software engineering experience building low-level protocols
• Strong knowledge of blockchain, smart contracts, and consensus algorithms
• Experience in Rust or Go
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to learn quickly
• Ability to write high-quality and well-tested code
• Experience working with cloud-native tech stacks (e.g., AWS/GCP)
