Cascadience, a VIABILITY company, is building Volio, an AI-powered digital companion designed to support neurodivergent individuals and students. The Full Stack Engineer will build and scale Volio’s backend, AI workflows, mobile features, data systems, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our Python/FastAPI backend running on AWS ECS Fargate
• Develop and improve AI-powered multi-agent workflows using Amazon Bedrock and LangGraph
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines and long-term semantic memory
• Develop mobile features using React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android technologies
• Create lightweight 2D gamification and student progression features
• Integrate GPS/geolocation functionality for school and class-related experiences
• Design and maintain data models across PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB Atlas
• Contribute to AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and secure cloud architecture
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Support mobile releases through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play
• Monitor application performance using tools such as New Relic, OpenTelemetry, and AWS X-Ray
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to Turn Ideas Into Accessible, Reliable Products

Skills

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production applications, APIs, or mobile applications
• Strong experience with Python and preferably FastAPI
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment
• Genuine interest in accessibility, inclusion, and technology that improves people's lives
• Prior experience with any of the following is a plus: LangGraph, LangChain, Amazon Bedrock, or OpenAI
• React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin
• RAG, vector databases, or AI/LLM applications
