Genesis10 is recruiting for a leading consumer electronics retailer seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for a remote contract position. The role supports the merchandising domain’s Vendor Funds financial systems by maintaining legacy applications and building distributed, scalable custom replacements, with a primary backend focus and frontend work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all aspects of software development and delivery
• Support and maintain existing mission-critical legacy systems
• Design and build distributed, scalable, custom applications to replace legacy systems
• Practice agile engineering, code simplicity, and maintain consistent high quality
• Collaborate with the team to build and maintain new systems

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role
• Fluent in a JVM based language (Java, Groovy, etc)
• Fluent in Test Driven Development
• Strong willingness to pair program
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position
• Service development (REST, HTTP, JSON)
