Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. An unnamed major U.S. airline is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead its enterprise-wide migration from TIBCO to Solace. The role coordinates application teams, tracks migration progress, manages risks and mitigation plans, and reports to executive leadership through decommissioning of the legacy platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end migration from TIBCO to Solace, aligned to organizational goals and timelines
• Partner with application teams to plan and complete their migrations and meet target dates
• Track and report migration status across all application teams
• Identify risks and blockers and build mitigation and contingency plans
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners
• Identify opportunities to streamline the migration process across teams
• Maintain program documentation, milestones, and reporting
• Build consensus and influence teams across a large, complex organization

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 8+ years of experience in program or project management
• Experience leading large enterprise technology initiatives
• Experience owning a large-scale technology migration or platform implementation across multiple teams
• Working knowledge of enterprise architecture, platform engineering, and DevOps
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams at the same time
• Experience communicating status, risks, and decisions to executive leadership
• Ability to influence and negotiate with teams outside your direct authority
• Experience with Agile and SAFe methodologies
• Experience with program tools such as Jira, Confluence, Clarity, and Power BI
• Located in the U.S
• Advanced degree
• Experience managing a messaging or middleware migration, such as TIBCO, Solace, IBM MQ, Kafka, or MuleSoft
• Integration and SDLC management experience
• Experience with API management or API gateway platforms
• PMP or PgMP certification
• SAFe certification
• Experience in airline, financial services, or other large enterprise environments with many application teams
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Located in the Chicago area
