The Licensed P&C Insurance Sales Agent sells property and casualty insurance, manages client opportunities and policy needs, and collaborates with team members and carriers to provide responsive service and a smooth client experience.

Responsibilities

• The Licensed P&C Insurance Sales Agent is a full-time remote role responsible for selling property and casualty insurance products to new and existing clients
• Day-to-day activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting needs assessments, preparing quotes, and presenting insurance solutions that align with client risk profiles
• The agent will manage a pipeline of opportunities, follow up on inquiries, and maintain accurate records within the agency’s systems
• Additional responsibilities include providing responsive customer service, assisting clients with policy changes and renewals, and collaborating with internal team members and carriers to ensure a smooth client experience
• The role also involves staying current on carrier offerings, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements in the states where the agency is licensed

Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in Insurance Sales, including lead generation, consultative selling, and closing skills
• Strong Customer Service capabilities, with a focus on building long-term client relationships and resolving issues promptly and professionally
• Solid understanding of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage concepts, including policy structures, coverage options, and underwriting criteria
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain) in one or more of the states where the agency operates
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance information in clear, accessible terms
• Proficiency with CRM and office software tools
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical sales practices
• Prior experience in an independent agency or multi-carrier environment is beneficial
