Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crossing Hurdles is seeking a contract Mechanical Engineer to provide expert input on mechanical design and CAD solutions. The role focuses on evaluating engineering drawings, advising on manufacturability and tolerance analysis, and contributing expertise in engineering mechanics, geometric modeling, and manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed input on mechanical design solutions using advanced CAD tools
• Evaluate and critique engineering drawings for accuracy and manufacturability
• Assess and recommend design for manufacturability and tolerance analysis practices
• Contribute insights on engineering mechanics and geometric modeling challenges
• Review and enhance graphics and geometric modeling representations for assemblies
• Offer guidance on best practices in manufacturing engineering and simulate design scenarios

Skills

• Have strong relevant experience in production design with GD&T and DFM principles
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD platforms like SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX
• Strong understanding of tribology, engineering mechanics, and geometric dimensioning
• Experience in manufacturing engineering and end-to-end product development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts
