Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Apetan Consulting LLC is seeking a Network Engineer Associate to support network infrastructure operations in a remote role. The position assists with designing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, documenting, and maintaining network systems while supporting senior engineers, vendors, and internal IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other network devices
• Monitor network performance, availability, and connectivity
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic routing/switching issues
• Support network installations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes
• Perform network health checks and resolve incidents within defined SLAs
• Assist senior network engineers with network projects and implementations
• Document network configurations, changes, incidents, and troubleshooting activities
• Work with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve network-related issues
• Follow network security, change-management, and operational procedures

Skills

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, and VPNs
• Knowledge of routing and switching concepts
• Hands-on exposure to Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar networking technologies
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Basic understanding of firewalls and network security
• Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Jira
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
