The role focuses on building and maintaining network infrastructure, implementing security measures, monitoring performance, and guiding team members and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the network operations team to build and maintain network infrastructure
• Install and configure networking hardware and software systems
• Create and implement robust network security measures
• Conduct network performance testing and monitor system performance
• Maintain network security and ensure compliance with best practices
• Collaborate with Federal and Contractor personnel to adapt strategies
• Train and manage team members to enhance team performance
• Perform requirements analysis and contribute to strategic planning

Skills

• 3 years' experience as a Senior Network Engineer within the last 5 years
• MA/MS with at least 10 years, or BA/BS with at least 12 years of experience in network administration
• Proficiency in general networking operations, including building infrastructure, hardware installation, security measures, and scripting languages
• Strong team leadership and management skills
• Ability to perform in-depth requirements analysis and strategic planning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ITIL certification is required
• Must currently have an Active Secret security clearance

• Preferably within the Federal Government environment
