Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mike Calvert Ford is hiring a New Car Sales Director to lead the strategy and performance of its new vehicle department. The role oversees vehicle ordering, allocation, pricing, the dealership’s relationship with Ford, and the New Car Manager and sales team.

Responsibilities

• Set overall strategy for new vehicle ordering, allocation, and stocking levels in partnership with Ford
• Manage the dealership's relationship with Ford Motor Company, including incentive programs, allocation requests, and factory communications
• Oversee pricing strategy for new vehicle inventory to balance turn rate, gross profit, and market competitiveness
• Directly manage and support the New Car Manager, providing guidance on team coaching, deal structure, and daily operations
• Analyze department-level KPIs (turn rate, gross profit, units sold, aging inventory) and adjust strategy accordingly
• Partner with the General Sales Manager and dealership leadership to align new car strategy with overall sales goals
• Monitor and report on new vehicle department performance to dealership leadership
• Ensure new vehicle merchandising, online listings, and promotions accurately reflect current inventory and incentives

Skills

• Proven experience in new car sales management, with a strong understanding of factory ordering, allocation, and incentive programs
• Experience managing a manager or team lead within a new car department
• Strong understanding of new vehicle pricing strategy and inventory turn management
• Proven leadership and team development skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Direct experience working with Ford allocation and ordering systems
• Prior experience as a New Car Sales Director or New Car Manager at a Ford dealership
• Track record of improving new vehicle turn rate and gross profit
