The Program Manager, Managed Care Palliative Operations oversees the operational execution, implementation, growth, and performance management of palliative care managed care contracts, partnering with clinical teams, payers, and operations to meet contractual and performance requirements. The role also manages workflows, staff oversight, payer coordination, and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of managed care organizations (MCOs) programs
• Provide oversight to palliative support staff which could include MA, LVN/LPN or admin support
• Ensure consistent implementation of workflows, policies, and operational standards
• Identify operational gaps and develop action plans for performance improvement
• Serve as a liaison between internal teams, managed care organizations, and other payer sources
• Support payer meetings, operational reviews, and strategic initiatives
• Monitor PMPM managed care contracts, SLAs and KPIs

Skills

• Bachelor's degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field)
• Minimum 3+ years of healthcare operations or managed care experience required
• Experience with PMPM or value-based programs required
• Palliative or hospice experience, preferred
