NXP Semiconductors is hiring a Senior MPU and Embedded AI Field Application Engineer to support healthcare and industrial customers across the Eastern U.S. The role provides technical customer support, drives design wins and revenue, leads proof-of-concept work and solution demonstrations, and collaborates with sales, business lines, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver premium technical support in content and time to assigned customers
• 100% Accountable to drive design wins and revenue generation in their target accounts and target technology
• Leads proof of concept, solution design and demonstrations to secure NXP solution’s design-in
• Synthesizes customer and competitive insights to improve product definition, system solutions enablement, and roadmaps
• Establishes the value proposition of NXP's system solutions relative to competition
• Collaborates with sales team members, business lines, and partners in support of customer and sales team objectives
• Assists in training the customer, sales and distribution partners on new technologies, new product features and their value propositions
• Develops system level knowledge of target application spaces

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and minimum 6+ years development engineering or applications support of SoC based embedded systems
• Field Application Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of typical SoC hardware interfaces (Ethernet, MIPI, UART, LPDDR4 or LPDDR5, PCIe ) and ARM Cortex A, Cortex M, heterogeneous architecture and register programming models
• Hands on experience in embedded Linux is essential: kernel and user-space and uboot environments
• Strong embedded software skillset for implementation of system processor solutions
• Ability to read, understand and review schematics and provide design recommendations essential
• Experienced in providing technical training to sales staff and distribution
• Proven track record of quickly learning new technologies
• Familiarity with Embedded Edge AI Model architecture, Workflow Tools and Model deployment is a plus
• Hands on knowledge of camera enabled graphics/video pipelines and related software drivers helpful
• Experience with custom board bring-up debug activities recommended
