Connex Telecommunications Inc. is seeking a Sales Account Executive to drive new business growth and expand its presence in the US market. The role focuses on winning new business, managing the full sales cycle, and building relationships with financial institutions, government organizations, and commercial and enterprise businesses.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, target, and win net-new business opportunities (hunter role)
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on financial institutions
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and referrals
• Engage senior stakeholders and decision-makers, including C-suite and executive leadership
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, delivery) to align solutions with client needs
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and activity tracking in CRM systems
• Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and evolving client needs in financial services

Skills

• 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, with a strong emphasis on new business acquisition
• Demonstrated experience selling to financial institutions and/or government
• Proven hunter mentality with consistent achievement or overachievement of sales targets
• Experience closing complex, consultative, and enterprise-level deals
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to operate independently while thriving in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
• Existing network and relationships within enterprises and/or government
• Experience selling technology, CCaaS, SaaS, or professional services solutions
• Familiarity with long and complex sales cycles
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
