Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Future Tech is hiring a Sales Tax Accountant for a remote, contract role. The role manages U.S. and international tax compliance, reconciles tax accounts, supports audits and tax planning, and contributes to month-end close and tax process improvements.

Responsibilities

• File indirect taxes (sales, VAT, GST) and other applicable local taxes accurately and on time
• Research and ensure compliance with state, local, and global tax regulations
• Reconcile all tax accounts in the general ledger, including property, sales, use, corporate income, and VAT
• Support tax inquiries and audits from internal and external auditors as well as government agencies worldwide
• Monitor updates in tax legislation, assess business impact, and communicate changes to leadership
• Perform month-end close tax-related tasks including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Support global tax planning, transfer pricing analysis, and intercompany transaction documentation
• Maintain and improve internal controls related to tax reporting and compliance
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, IT, and other teams to ensure proper tax treatment of business transactions
• Assist in implementing tax automation tools and ERP system enhancements

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, with tax experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Capacity to work independently while adhering to procedures and instructions
• Master's or CPA
• Tax experience
