The Security Engineer will support information security continuous monitoring by reviewing and updating security documentation, managing approved software application lists, and maintaining the Technology Product Roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Review and/or update System Characterization Documents, Sestm Security Plans, Privacy Threshold Assessments, System AuthorizationBriefings and other security related documents in support of the Information Security Continuopus Monitoring process
• Manage the working list of approved software applications and work with the ESP and IESP SLE to update the Technology Product Roadmap

Skills

• • Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years experience
• + Master's degree and 9 years experience
• + Associate's degree and 14 years experience
• • Ability to travel to meetings at FAA or vendor facilities around the U.S if required by the role
• • Experience supporting federal government programs within the FAA
• • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident with a minimum of three (3) years of U.S. residency
• • Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust
• • Ability to work independently and/or in collaborative team environments to complete assigned tasks within expected schedule to complete
• • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple systems, priorities, and compliance activities simultaneously
• • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and review formal security documentation
• • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
