Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Talent Groups is recruiting for a technology-driven digital marketing client seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer. The role supports data pipelines, data quality, and business intelligence, including production troubleshooting and reporting that informs business and marketing performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines using Python, SQL, dbt, and Google BigQuery
• Support and maintain data workflows and cloud-based services within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run and Cloud Functions
• Build, maintain, and enhance BI reports and dashboards using Looker
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and reliability
• Investigate and resolve production data issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
• Translate business reporting needs into reliable data models, datasets, and dashboards
• Collaborate with data engineering and business stakeholders to support reporting, analytics, and operational needs
• Manage work through Jira and sprint-based workflows, communicating progress and potential blockers

Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Experience building and maintaining data transformations using dbt
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery
• Experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , including cloud services such as Cloud Run and Cloud Functions
• Recent, professional experience developing or maintaining reports and dashboards in Looker
• Experience supporting data pipelines, data quality, and business intelligence reporting
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and work independently with minimal direction
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Jira or similar project management tools
• Experience supporting marketing analytics, digital advertising, or performance marketing
• Familiarity with e-commerce, web analytics, customer acquisition, or lead-generation data
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources to support business reporting and performance measurement
• Background in the insurance industry is a plus, but not required
