SoTalent is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions supporting analytics, business intelligence, and data science. The role builds scalable data infrastructure and production-ready data products in collaboration with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analytics teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and data scientists to design and deliver innovative data solutions that address evolving business needs
• Develop and implement scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to support analytics and reporting initiatives
• Utilize agile development methodologies to rapidly prototype, test, and deploy data engineering solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform analytical concepts and requirements into working data products and production-ready solutions
• Perform data exploration, profiling, data quality assessments, and engineering activities to ensure reliable and accurate datasets
• Design and develop prototypes that help users visualize, validate, and refine new business capabilities before full implementation
• Build and maintain data infrastructure that supports advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling initiatives
• Implement monitoring, data validation, and quality controls to ensure integrity, performance, and reliability of data assets
• Develop enterprise data platforms, data models, and analytical datasets that support business intelligence and decision-making
• Create and execute testing strategies, including test data preparation, reconciliation processes, and functional validation
• Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, processes, and operational efficiency
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members while promoting best practices in data engineering and analytics

Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field
• Strong experience with SQL and relational database technologies
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and analytics workflows
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and large-scale data processing concepts
• Experience working with modern analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Experience collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, testing methodologies, and agile delivery models
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
• Experience supporting machine learning, predictive analytics, or advanced data science initiatives
• Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems, enterprise data platforms, and modern data architectures
• Experience with data governance, monitoring, and data quality frameworks
• Exposure to scalable data processing and performance optimization techniques
• Experience mentoring team members and contributing to technical leadership initiatives
