Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cognizant is hiring a Senior Linux Engineer (Cloud) to manage enterprise Linux environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role focuses on availability, security, automation, production support, and collaboration on infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu environments
• Manage Linux server provisioning, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Support cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure
• Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Deploy and support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
• Collaborate with application, network, and cloud teams on infrastructure initiatives

Skills

• 7+ years of Linux Administration experience (RHEL preferred)
• AWS and/or Azure Cloud
• Shell Scripting (Bash) and Python
• Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Linux Patching, Hardening, and Security
• Production Support and Troubleshooting
• Legally authorized to work in US without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
