Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Skale is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for a profitable cloud-optimization company. The role owns a recommendation engine for right-sizing customers’ Kubernetes workloads and leads model-versus-heuristic decisions and end-to-end service ownership.

Responsibilities

• You’ll own the recommendation engine that right-sizes customers’ Kubernetes workloads, cutting cloud spend without putting anything at risk
• Seasonality, trend decomposition and anomaly detection on real production telemetry
• Separating real signal from load tests, startup spikes and autoscaling noise
• Prophet, percentile estimation and classical stats, used where they actually work
• Knowing when •not• to make a recommendation
• You’ll be the ML authority on a small, high-output team. You’ll make the model-vs-heuristic calls and own the service end to end

Skills

• 5+ years in software engineering, with 3+ shipping ML or statistical systems in production
• Deep, hands-on time-series forecasting experience
• Expert, production-grade Python (numpy, typed, tested)
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes resources and autoscaling
• MSc or higher in a quantitative field
