Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join an Engineering Platform Team supporting a major automotive services company. The role focuses on building scalable developer platform automation, AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and release automation, DevSecOps, and AI-assisted engineering practices using tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable GitHub Actions
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation
• Contribute to DevSecOps, security, compliance, and operational excellence
• Apply AI development standards using Claude Code and GitHub Copilot
• Support fellow engineers through design discussions and code reviews
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master on planning and delivery
• Participate in production support and continuous platform improvement

Skills

• 3+ years of experience in software or platform engineering
• Strong ownership skills and ability to drive tasks to completion independently
• Solid proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform
• Skills in GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD
• Background in Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Linux
• Competency in DevSecOps, operating production services, and security tooling (SonarQube, CodeQL, Veracode)
• Familiarity with PagerDuty for incident response
• Daily hands-on experience with Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM fundamentals, and AI-assisted software development
• Ability to apply AI in engineering workflows
• Strong written documentation skills
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
• Practical examples of using Anthropic Claude Code in real-world engineering scenarios
• Background in DevOps practices
• Knowledge of TypeScript and/or Node.js
