Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cavalcade is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build software that converts complex utility bills and rules into verified savings. The role owns features across data ingestion, backend services, and internal applications, while integrating AI and improving reliability, testing, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Own features from data ingestion and backend services through the internal application
• Build reliable workflows for utility bills, tariff analysis, document processing, and account operations
• Integrate AI into production systems with clear evaluations, audit trails, and human review
• Work directly with the founder and utility specialists to turn operational problems into useful software
• Improve reliability, testing, and data quality as the business grows

Skills

• Experience owning and shipping production software
• Strong TypeScript, React, backend, SQL, and relational data-modeling skills
• Sound engineering judgment about reliability, security, and maintainability
• Comfort working independently, resolving ambiguity, and communicating clearly
• Experience with Next.js, PostgreSQL, document pipelines, or applied AI is useful
• Utility-industry experience is welcome but not required
• A GitHub or portfolio link is optional
