Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PatientPoint is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build its next-generation unified platform and scalable backend systems. The role focuses on cloud-based services and APIs, ad technology integrations, architecture, code quality, and using AI-assisted tools to improve development and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs deployed in AWS across multiple technical domains
• Develop scalable, high-performance solutions that follow modern software design principles and meet business requirements
• Contribute to architectural discussions and drive implementation of clean, reusable solutions across services
• Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of core platform services and APIs
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as planning, retrospectives, and story grooming
• Conduct thorough code reviews, share technical feedback, and contribute to continuous code quality improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Security to support high-quality software delivery
• Mentor peers and junior engineers through thoughtful collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Leverage AI-based development tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, generate and maintain tests, automate repetitive engineering tasks, and improve overall code quality and velocity

Skills

• 6+ years of experience in backend software engineering focused on building enterprise-grade applications
• 4+ years developing scalable, high-performance, high availability microservices
• 4+ years designing cloud-native architectures and implementing infrastructure as code
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries
• 2+ years of Google Ad Manager or any other ad server experience
• 2+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular
• Advanced proficiency in Python 3, with expert-level knowledge required (a coding assessment will be administered to evaluate this proficiency)
• Elasticsearch experience or other cloud-native search technologies
• Hands-on experience using AI-based development tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to build production software and automate engineering workflows
• Self-motivation, strong ambition, and interest in directly impacting business results
• Resourcefulness, multi-tasking skills, and creative problem-solving skills
• Resiliency and ability to overcome challenges, sound business judgment
• Passion for relationship building and building trusted partnerships
• Hands-on experience with observability tools and performance monitoring platforms, including New Relic and Sentry
• Background in containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Amazon ECS, and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts and protocols including OAuth2, JWT, HMAC, data encryption, hashing, and secret management
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product, DevOps, and Security
• Understanding of digital advertising ecosystems and platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Kevel, Sizmek, and DV360
• Awareness of healthcare compliance standards and regulatory frameworks like HIPAA and PHI
• Experience developing software with a focus on customer feedback and iterative improvement
