Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AllSTEM Connections is recruiting on behalf of an unnamed client for a Senior Software Engineer III on its AI Platform team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI-powered applications, including full-stack solutions and Generative AI capabilities, in collaboration with product, engineering, and AI teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI-powered applications and platform services
• Build modern full-stack solutions using frontend, backend, and cloud technologies
• Develop and integrate Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications
• Implement and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions
• Create secure, reliable, and high-performance APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards including WCAG 2.2 AA
• Promote software engineering best practices, code quality, and system reliability
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and industry trends

Skills

• Strong React or Angular expertise
• Python and/or Node.js backend development experience
• AWS or Azure cloud experience
• Terraform infrastructure experience
• MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB expertise
• Generative AI and RAG implementation experience
• Enterprise software development background (5+ years)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to independently deliver production-ready solutions
• 5+ years of product or enterprise software development experience
• Strong Full Stack Development experience
• Frontend development using Angular and/or React
• Backend/API development using Python and/or Node.js
• Cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure
• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) experience
• Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or DynamoDB
• Hands-on experience building or integrating Generative AI solutions
• Practical knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Experience working with distributed engineering teams
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
