DeWinter Group is recruiting for a fintech partner seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build a greenfield, customer-facing data platform. The role focuses on designing APIs, developing scalable microservices, building blockchain data ingestion pipelines, and establishing secure, observable AWS-based systems while collaborating with product and data teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement backend services and APIs using Python / TypeScript / Node.js
• Design and scale data ingestion pipelines for blockchain and crypto datasets
• Build reliable, secure systems on AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with data engineers and product leads to define data schemas, access layers, and platform integrations
• Set technical direction and establish best practices for performance, testing, and observability
• Contribute to early product decisions, feature prioritization, and roadmap shaping

Skills

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems in TypeScript / Node.js / Python
• Strong foundation in AWS services and cloud architecture
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced startup environments — adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity
• Experience designing APIs, data pipelines, and event-driven systems
• Knowledge of or strong curiosity about crypto / blockchain technologies
• Bonus: exposure to insurance data, risk analytics, or regulatory systems
