Zachary Piper Solutions, through Piper Companies, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to build a mission-driven platform that improves access to essential services for vulnerable populations. The role involves developing scalable frontend and backend applications, integrating AI capabilities, building data pipelines and analytics tools, and deploying secure applications in AWS while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building scalable full-stack applications to replace manual, spreadsheet-based workflows
• Developing intuitive frontend experiences using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Architecting and implementing backend services and APIs using Node.js
• Creating systems that track the full lifecycle of “care members,” identifying needs and prioritizing interventions
• Integrating AI-native capabilities (e.g., Claude AI) to enhance decision-making and workflow automation
• Building data pipelines and analytics tools to provide actionable insights and predictive capabilities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate community and operational needs into technical solutions
• Deploying and managing applications in AWS cloud environments
• Ensuring application performance, scalability, and security best practices are met

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in full stack software development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, and Node.js
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and deployment pipelines
• Experience building internal tools, workflow systems, or data-driven applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience working within healthcare, Medicaid, or social services environments
• Familiarity with AI-native development tools (e.g., Claude AI) or strong interest in applying AI to product development
